Kentucky Colonels Amateur Radio Club monthly meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm. The location is at Richardsville Fire Dept #3 288 Oak St, Plum Springs KY. All are Welcome to join us. You do not need to be a member.

Field Day Events

Kentucky Colonels Amateur Radio Club actively participates in the Winter and Summer Field Day Events each year. Plan to come out and join us for these fun events.

Our next field day event will be the 2024 ARRL Summer Field Day June 22 and 23, 2024, KCARC plans on participating in this event. The location is at Richardsville Fire Dept #3 288 Oak St, Plum Springs KY. Set up is Saturday June 23 at 9:00am CT and event will run from noon Saturday to Noon Sunday. Food and drink will be provided but we welcome you to bring additional goodies.

The Kentucky Colonels Amateur Radio Club is a ARRL sanctioned club in Bowling Green KY and one of our main goals is promote our hobby to young and old alike. If you are interested in becoming a Amateur Radio operator click on VIEW and our brochure will give you all the information needed about the hobby and how to get your license.


TESTING SESSIONS

The Southern Kentucky Amateur Transmitting Society of Russellville, KY will be hosting a testing session on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, 7 PM. The location is Logan Memorial Hospital Dining Room 1625 Nashville St Russellville KY 42276-8853.  Anyone wanting to attend MUST contact Randal E. Nielsen (270) 201-4685 (nielsenre@logantele.com) to register.  No walk-ins will be allowed.

The Western Kentucky DX Association will be hosting a Testing Session. The testing session will be held at Modern Woodman Building 519 Old Morgantown Rd, Bowling Green on Sunday August 4, 2024 at 2 pm.  Walk-ins are welcome. Candidates should register with FCC to obtain a FRN number before testing. You will need to bring $15.00 and a picture ID those upgrading will need a copy of their present licensee
